Squillo is a young company. This page states only what we practice. Where a practice is still ahead of us, it says so, with a date.

Reporting abuse or misuse

If you encounter abuse or misuse of Squillo — a Snapp behaving maliciously, an agent used to harass or defraud, content that should not be where it is — report it to [email protected]. We do not yet operate a dedicated abuse desk or in-product reporting channel; until we do, abuse and misuse reports share our security contact. This page will be updated when a dedicated channel exists.

State what you saw, where (a URL, a Snapp name, an organization or channel), when, and how to reach you. Do not include more personal information than the report needs.

Every report sent to that address is read by a person and acknowledged.

To report a security vulnerability in Squillo itself, use the coordinated-disclosure process at /trust/disclosure instead.

Law-enforcement and government requests

This section states our posture toward demands for user data from law enforcement and other government bodies. It is a commitment of intent, published in draft, and not yet tested by volume.

Legal process required. We disclose user data in response to a government or law-enforcement demand only when compelled by valid legal process — a subpoena, court order, warrant, or the jurisdictional equivalent — that we have verified as authentic and applicable to us.

User notice where lawful. When we are compelled to disclose a user's data, we notify the affected user before complying, unless the law prohibits notice. Where notice is prohibited for a period, we provide it once the prohibition lapses.

Narrow construction. We construe every demand as narrowly as its language allows, produce only what the process compels, and challenge or seek to narrow demands that are overbroad, vague, or improperly served.

Squillo OS is built so that a user's content lives in storage the user owns — their own drive, their own disk, their own peers — behind a deny-by-default permissioned ledger. What Squillo the company holds about you is the narrower set described in our privacy policy. A demand served on Squillo can reach only what Squillo holds; the commitments above govern how we handle it.

Transparency report

As of 2026-09-16, Squillo has published no transparency report. There is no request-statistics page.

Dated commitment. We commit to publishing our first transparency report — covering the government and law-enforcement demands we received (including "none"), and the volume and disposition of abuse reports — no later than 2027-03-31, covering the period through 2026-12-31, and annually thereafter.

Until that first report, we publish no request counts here. A count without a reporting mechanism behind it is not a claim we make.
